Shelley 2 Months

We are so happy to say that Buck and I have made it two months without pulling out all of our hair. Shelley has officailly started nursery at Whitesburg Baptist. She is doing a whole lot better than me and Buck. The first day was a killer. I was doing fine until I physically had to leave. I was able to pack her up the night before and drive to the church but when I had to leave.... Water works started. The teacher told me it was normal and asked did I want to stay for a bit. I told her it would only make it worse. So I walked to the car and just sat and cried for a couple of minutes and went on to work. The teacher also gave me the number to call the school and check on her. She told me that there are several moms that do this daily. I wanted to call as soon as I got to work but I resisted the temptation. I only called one time and she told me that Shelley was doing great. She was just hanging out eating and looking around the room. She was " taking it all in" as my mom would put it or pulling a "Doris". For those of you that don't know, Doris was my grandmother and she was always looking around and being very nosey. I think we should have named her that as much as she likes to look around.

So Buck went to pick her up and I asked him to get all the details from the teachers about what she did. They said she was great. They gave us a little report card about when she ate, slept and went to the bathroom. They even went into the details of what kind of diaper she had. It is almost like they gave us a play by play of her eventful day. It makes me feel a lot better. I really like the ladies that take care of her. They are so sweet!

Today is day three of Nursery and of me being back at work. The drop offs in the morning are going much better. It is almost like she knows the room now. It is so bright and colorful. I am getting better with it all.

Work is so boring for me right now. I have really nothing to do yet. My boss keeps telling me that I will be doing more since I was made an Engineer but, I am still waiting to see what that is.

I will try and keep everyone updated when fun stuff happens.

Hello Kiddo,
Glad to hear you and the rest of your little family are adjusting so well. Treasure each day, even the ones you think are bad, because some day you will wake up and give anything to have them back. Just love her and teach her to trust and believe in God, Herself and You, in that order.
See you guys soon.
