Ear Piercing..... What an adveture

So it has been a while since I wrote because things have been going crazy. I have now made a promise to myself to write more on here because it is really helpful. So Shelley is now 5 and half months old....wow, that still blows my mind. But about a month ago I took it upon myself to get her ear pierced so she would look more girly. I know i am bad momma for putting her through that. She had no clue what was happening. I was told that as long as we took her after her 2nd round of shots it would be the best time to take her. She would be too small to cry for very long and would not tug at her ears because she would not know what was going on. This would also help with infection. So I went to Mexican night with my mom, sister, aunt and my sisters friend Lindsay Ann to the mall to get this done. The first place that we went to said they didn't do infants but the other place in the mall did. So at 8:45... the mall closes at 9... we went down to the other store. The girl there told me that I just needed to pick out what I wanted her studs to be and she would take care of the rest. I chose her birthstone...diamond for the stud that would need to stay in for around 6 weeks. I put Shelle Belle in my lap while Whitney fed the sucker (another trick I was told), Lindsay took the pictures. My aunt was trying to get her attention to hold her head still and my mom left the store to go outside and watch through the window.... that was just funny. So everyone had their little part. She was just a suckin on the sucker while the girl lined up where she wanted to put the post. The first one was put in and it was not that bad.... it was not instant. Once Shelley realized what was going on she stopped sucking on the strawberry sucker and screamed to the top of her lungs. She calmed down like 45 seconds later because she realized there was a sucker there and it tasted good. Then we went through the whole ordeal again and the screaming lasted a lot longer. Like 2 minutes later and a bottle she calmed down and feel asleep on the way home. Needless to say it caused me more pain than her. She looks darlin now... She looks like a real girl. The studs are about a week away from coming out. I can not wait to get other styles in her ears. Aunt Whitney thinks that pearls are the way to go.
