So my last week of maternity leave, mom rented a condo in Destin. It was a two bedroom two bath with a pull out queen size sofa. It was really nice. Dad was in the 2nd bedroom because his breathing mask gets kinda loud at times. Mom and Whitney were in the Master bedroom and I was on the pullout. Shelley slept out in the den with me. I took her smaller pack and play with us, her boppy pillow and all of her daily routine stuff. We started driving around 8 am on Saturday and all was good until Shelley decided to get sick in the car. I mean really sick!!! We had to pull over in the middlle of this town to basically hose her off. She was covered with nasty milk. We had a sack in the car that we had to put her clothes, diaper and blanket in there and be sure to wash it once we got to the condo. After the hosing off of the baby we continued on our journey. We stopped at a place in Clanton to get strawberries but were out of luck so we went on our way. We finally stopped someone outside of Florida and found a place. They had none thay were picked yet so we waited a little bit for the ones to come in from the field. They had strawberry yogert and we gave Shelley a little taste.... She loved it. She licked her lips and smacked them.
finally we got to the Condo. It was really nice and we set up shop. We then tried to figure out what to do about food and groceries for the next week. Whitney and I went to the store down there and got all kinds of goodies. Then as we are coming back with tons of food, mom and dad called and wanted KFC. We stopped and got them KFC.
The first couple of days were good. We went down to the beach and watched people and baked to our hearts content. Shelley even got in the water. She grinned everytime her feet got wet. She looked so cute in her little winnie-the-pooh bikini.
We went shopping a couple of the days while we were there. We got her bows and a new outfit. She looked so good in it. I will be posting pictures later.
Shelley beans first beach expierence was great. She slept through most of the night and then got up to play with Aunt Whitney and Ya Ya everyday.

Shelley 2 Months
We are so happy to say that Buck and I have made it two months without pulling out all of our hair. Shelley has officailly started nursery at Whitesburg Baptist. She is doing a whole lot better than me and Buck. The first day was a killer. I was doing fine until I physically had to leave. I was able to pack her up the night before and drive to the church but when I had to leave.... Water works started. The teacher told me it was normal and asked did I want to stay for a bit. I told her it would only make it worse. So I walked to the car and just sat and cried for a couple of minutes and went on to work. The teacher also gave me the number to call the school and check on her. She told me that there are several moms that do this daily. I wanted to call as soon as I got to work but I resisted the temptation. I only called one time and she told me that Shelley was doing great. She was just hanging out eating and looking around the room. She was " taking it all in" as my mom would put it or pulling a "Doris". For those of you that don't know, Doris was my grandmother and she was always looking around and being very nosey. I think we should have named her that as much as she likes to look around.
So Buck went to pick her up and I asked him to get all the details from the teachers about what she did. They said she was great. They gave us a little report card about when she ate, slept and went to the bathroom. They even went into the details of what kind of diaper she had. It is almost like they gave us a play by play of her eventful day. It makes me feel a lot better. I really like the ladies that take care of her. They are so sweet!
Today is day three of Nursery and of me being back at work. The drop offs in the morning are going much better. It is almost like she knows the room now. It is so bright and colorful. I am getting better with it all.
Work is so boring for me right now. I have really nothing to do yet. My boss keeps telling me that I will be doing more since I was made an Engineer but, I am still waiting to see what that is.
I will try and keep everyone updated when fun stuff happens.
